Inkling
My favourite English word is definitely inkling. I learned it when looking for some other word in my dictionary, and it immediately made me think of the detective stories I used to read during the summer holidays when I was about 14 years old. This is the perfect word to express the suspicions you have when reading such a story, since they are suspicions that arise from a world of paper… and ink.

One out of the list of my favourite words. I like it because it’s so different to most words you come across. And it has a pretty cool meaning as well: “The condition of having a disguised or concealed identity”

You cannot escape the meaning of this word, which means “cannot avoid or escape.”
I was always trying to find words my mother hadn’t heard or read. It was most unfair she had a head start by being born before I was. She also read and did crossword puzzles daily. I could never catch up.
The odd thing about ‘ineluctable’ is that there is no ‘eluctable’

Iota is all vowels with one measly consonant. And you can insert it into “My Sharona” by The Knack… “muh-muh-muh myyyy iota.”

I just like saying it fast: “It’s an inevitability”. Some people can’t. And if you stumble on it, it is your own little sobriety test. Try it after a few brews.

When I was in kindergarten my favorite color was pink. Not because I liked the color very much but because I loved the way it sounded with the word, ink. Just say it a few times. Say it a few times fast even. I still like it to this day!

A synonym for “permanent,” but filled with so much more. It is a poetic and powerful way to say “incapable of being erased or forgotten.”

I may have fallen in love with this word after hearing the cute little bald man in “The Princess Bride” say it. It is such a forceful word, but if you say it with a slight lisp it makes you sort of lovable and vulnerable.

I love this word because one can pack so much meaning into it. Simply by tone of voice, a person can make this tiny little word convey quite a lot. It is indeed a useful word.
