Because it’s such an cocky/arrogant thing to say. Great conversation stopper. Part of any high school girl’s vocabulary.

I only realized how awesome this word was when I read its own wikipedia entry.

  No reflection on you, Michael, but this was a response not allowed from my children. My husband and I never responded to them with this term either.
