I love this word because to my ears, it has such an ugly sound and yet means something quite the opposite: physical beauty. Also, it is so much fun to ask those people who don’t know the word what they think it means. Their surprise when they find out is terrific

I am going to go around asking people what they think this word means, now.
I’ve always loved this word, and its adjectival form “pulchritudinous.” Also, their opposites, “apulchritude” and “apulchritudinous.”
That is a great word! I was wondering if others liked it as much as me. I wish I could somehow work it into a sentence, but I just dont see how.
