		<description>As a French speaker I&#039;ve always understood this word to mean &#039;dodgy, seedy, wierd.&#039; If you leer unpleasantly at women and are suspected of being a closet sociopath, people might describe you as &#039;louche.&#039; It might also refer to a place.

If I were trying to cultivate an air of Gallic, devil-may-care sophistication I&#039;d be aiming rather for &#039;nonchalant&#039; or &#039;suave.&#039;</description>
