Well, it’s my last name and I always thought it did not have much meaning. But alas, thanks to the wonders of the internet it has many meanings! 1. the upper part of the throat or gullet. (latin) 2. a molding having a large hollow. 3. gluttony or overeating 4. an ancient Babylonian Goddess of healing.
Sago Gula Melaka is a very popular soft dessert in Malaysia. Gula Gula is restaurant in Madrid.
Mula Gula was a famous racehorse. Never thought much of my name but now I love it for its various and such diverse meanings! Plus, it’s cool when people call me by my last name and I say – ‘yeah but do you know what it means?’
