Vociferous

This is a vicious-sounding word. If you are vociferous, you qualify to have the phrase “Turn that racket down!” used on you. It sounds like it would be some brutal executioner’s word, but it’s actually more of an old guy with headaches word. It’s just nice to say.

    They used this word in the movie-musical “Chicago.” (Give ‘em a show that’s so splendiferous/Row after row will grow vociferous.)
