		<description>You know I never though of that word as something pretty until I saw what you said about it, and your right, it does sound like a kind of flower.  Thank you for changing that word for me. 
And personally I would love to have a name like that.  If you did name a daughter that she could always have a nickname like Ama, or even Ann or Mal if she wanted something normal sounding.</description>

In one definition it refers to taboo items and practices as opposed to socially acceptable (respectable) modes of behaviour. It could also be defined as special or unique. Not bad names for a child.
