Hapax Legomenon

From the Greek “[something] said only once.” A word which occurs only once in the written record of a language, in the works of an author, or in a single text. I’m just seduced by the concept of such a word. The thought of a word only showing up once in the entire written language… wow.

if it isnt written down anywhere else how would you know without someone writing down that it isnt written down anywhere else or reading everything ever and how did they know if they wrote it? Unless they did read everything else and then said “first letter is h second letter…” and so-on without writing the word out.
Anyway didnt you just write it or does the internet not count?
