FebrileI love medical terms, febrile in particular. It is an outdated term that describes other medical symptoms that are caused by fevers – e.g., a febrile seizure (seizure caused by fever). It is a smart, quick word, and I appreciate that. Also, it feels good in the mouth – kind of chunky and simultaneously smooth. Very dichotomous and satisfying. It’s not that out-dated. Being in the medical field, I can say with authority that we use the term febrile and afebrile consistently.
