Onomatopoeia

A word that sounds like it means. Buzz, snap, pop. Just the sound of the word soothes the ear.

    I love this word, too! I also love that my 4 year old twin daughters say it when they’ve had enough tickles. And occasionally they then break into a John Prine song. “Onomatopoeia, I don’t wanna see ya, speaking in a foreign tongue.”

    I have never liked this word. Yes, there should be a word that defines this, but onomatopoeia just DOES NOT do it for me.
